The one cool thing that Seventeen ever did—apart from the hysterical "Trauma-Rama" feature—was this article about Sofia Coppola and her favorite L.A. hot spots. As a twelve-year-old I thought she was so cool. And I still do, although I tend to like her films more in theory then in actuality. I mostly just want to hang out with her and get manicures and buy cheap shoes in Chinatown. Remember when buying cheap shoes in Chinatown was "a thing"? (via No Good For Me)

Totally remember this feature! It's the coolest. I wanted to grow up and get manicures and record shop like her!
If I ever end up with fallen arches I'm sure I will blame the cheap Chinese shoes I kept buying at Globe Imports in college.
i won't lie, i still have a milk fed shirt hanging out somewhere in the back of my closet...
lol love it
I remember this article! I almost never read Seventeen but this stuck in my mind.
OMG is it just me but does she look like Charlotte Gainsbourg with her fringe, in the photos?
I wish I still had my milk fed shirt. It had a kitten on it!
I totally remember this article!!
They also sold her Milk Fed stuff through Alloy back when it was still not totally disgusting. I wanted aaalll of it
Totally agree about the theory vs. practice liking levels of SC's films. Also, what is this milk fed business? It sounds like veal...
I still remember this feature! I wish I still had my my mild fed shirt.
Time machine! Takes me back to reading this over and over and over again on my best friend's bed (I didn't have a subscription of my own : )
Love Sofia Coppola- and your site!!
Ahhhhh, i had a Milk Fed sweatshirt that I seriously wore every day for five years, until it was stolen by an evil ex-friend! It was a shrunken navy hoodie with milkfed in heavy metal lettering- can't you totally see me in it? I bet I have photos of me in it (possibly with Shifty Shellshock too!).
hilarious! that's ME working in the record shop! i haven't seen this in YEARS. thanks!
Amazing, I hope you still have those glasses!
chelsea- my current glasses are similar... i know i still have that pair in a drawer somewhere! funny enough, after no life shut down, i went on to work for xlarge and later, milk fed. also, still get my hair cut at the salon that was delux, as featured in the article. thanks for the time warp!
Oh my god, you totally had my dream life in the 90's! I LIVED for Milk Fed. I'm gonna try and hunt some of that stuff down on eBay!
