The Red Shoes
Stills from The Red Shoes, an iconic 1948 film about a ballerina that must choose between love and her dance career. Black Swan was heavily influenced by the imagery, if you haven't seen this you should really watch it right now!

Dream Team
I'm so happy to announce that the designers behind Cat Party favorite Church + State (Nathaniel Crissman and Rachel Turk) and John Blasioli are teaming up with Pendleton to create a new line for Fall '11 titled Pendleton, The Portland Collection. The new collection promises to be aimed towards a younger customer base, we'll see how it competes with the Opening Ceremony lines. I'm sure everything will be amazing with such incredible talent behind the reigns!

Oh Shiloh
Kurt Cobain realness! Can someone please get her a little Daniel Johnston t-shirt to wear? That would be so precious.

Where My Girls At?
I was so excited when my friend Kelly asked me to make a playlist for her killer blog Nothing is New. The result is Where My Girls At? A super-catchy, sassy-as-hell mix of my favorite songs at the moment. It's an all-girls mix with the exception of one Lindsey Buckingham song which I included because Lindsey Buckingham has a girls' name---and I love him. But anyway, you can download the mix here. Below are a few of my favorite videos from the mix, the Salt-N-Pepa one is freaky good.
