Happy Halloween everyone! If you're like me and would rather spend the night in watching horror movies and eating pizza I highly suggest you check out the House of the Devil. You can even watch it instantly on Netflix (you're welcome).
Set in the early 80s, this throwback to the awesome suspenseful horror of yesteryear follows a college sophomore named Samantha who takes a babysitting job for some extra cash. Of course things start to get a little creepy as soon as she enters the house, it is a full lunar eclipse and all. I won't say any more as I don't want to spoil it but trust me, if you're a classic horror fan and dig occult stuff you should definitely check this out!

Move!
If you live in New York City I highly reccomend checking out Move! at PS.1 today. I went on Saturday and within 15 minutes of getting there I had already gotten a free manicure and done card tricks with DAVID fucking BLAINE!!! I can die now. He was sort of like Houdini meets a monk meets some dude at bar with a dash of Jesus---I really dug it. My friends and I nerdily asked to take a photo with him, it will be on my fridge until the end of time! The crazy hairdos that my friends Sayaka and Sarah are sporting are from the Cheryl/American collaboration which was essentially a demented beauty parlor. The Rob Pruitt/ Marc Jacobs piece was also incredible!

Summerland
I am so happy I finally get to share this with you all! My new online store Summerland is now officially open for business. This has been in the works for so long and it was really hard not letting the cat out of the bag...haha.
Summerland stocks new designers and housewares as well as a selection of vintage clothing and accessories. Some you may be familiar with are Karen Walker, Dace, In God We Trust and Dear Creatures. I'll let some photos do the talking.
Hope you all take a look and let me know what you think, I'll be posting Summerland updates here frequently so stay tuned for more. Now I'm off to celebrate!

Hollywood Babylon
I am so excited to announce that I will now be contributing to the V Magazine blog! My posts will be about fashion in cinema, the first film that I'm discussing is the little-seen Veruschka: Poetry of a Woman (1971). You can read all about it here; below are a few more stills that didn't make it into the post.

The score is amazing, listen!

I ♥ Lucy
So many incredible people contributed to Chelsea #2, one of which was Lucy Meyle who created an illustration to accompany an article about my unsuccessful attempts to interview Jane Pratt. Lucy has a really amazing blog where she archives her work, here are a few of my favorites...

Biker Babes
I found these Chris von Wangenheim photos of Anjelica Huston and an unknown model (any insights?) in an old Paris Vogue awhile back. I'm sorry that the image quality isn't better, they're photographs, not scans.
