More Googly Mayhem!

I got such a positive response to my first googly eye post that I thought it merited a follow up. Below are a few googly treasures that I have mined from the internet. And make sure to watch this hilarious googly eye-themed SNL skit. Christopher Walken plays a paranoid gardener who puts googly eyes all over his plants. It almost makes me want to buy a cactus just so I can put googly eyes on it. Is that weird?

Invitations that I made for my mom's birthday party. It'a a tea party (but not that kind of tea party.)

This Giles bag is hilarious and museum-worthy; it has "Fashion & Surrealism" written all over it. Are you listening Harold Koda?

Always ahead of the fashion pack, Jerri Blank sported a googly eye in the Strangers with Candy movie way back in '05.

Love these Andrew Kuo Morrissey t-shirts from ooga booga.

So I can't actually read this eye clock from Uncommon Goods but does it matter?

Sisters of the Moon

I am so excited because the 20th annual Night of 1,000 Stevies is less than a month away! The theme this year is "Sisters of the Moon" and I'm sort of freaking out because I don't know what to wear. Thankfully the NOTS website has some great suggestions:

Suggested Dress: Moon Goddess, Enchanted Eveningwear, Black Widow Spider Effects, Beribboned and Bedecked Tambourines, Wiccan Glamour, Wrapped in Velvet, Important Platform Boots, White Winged Dove After Midnight, Moonstones and Moon Motifs, Lindsey Or John McVie Pagan Menswear, Black Robes Trailing, Silver Threaded Shawls, Cloaks and Cokespoons or Your Personal Best Stevie Nicks Realness, All Eras.

Best version of Rhiannon ever:

Buy tickets here.
ps. At the last NOTS Debbie Harry covered "The Chain." Oh so magical!

Female Trouble

Behold! This epic photo of Eva Ionesco, Edwige Belmore, and Maria Schneider all hanging out together! I assume that it was taken at Le Palace sometime in the late seventies. God those girls are cool.

Clogs of my Dreams

I am so excited because I just ordered a pair of clogs from Maguba.. There are so many places to get clogs from these days but Maguba is by far the most fun. Their clogs come in all sorts of styles and colors which you can mix and match until you have made your perfect shoe! Below are some pictures from their lookbook...

...and an image of what my dream clogs will look like. I can't wait to see them in person!

People We Love: Susan Miller

Just an FYI for anyone with an iPhone, Blackberry, iPad or whatever that is also completely obsessed with Susan Miller's AstrologyZone...yes there is an app for that! So amazing, for a mere $1.99 you can have daily gems of astrological wisdom delivered to your phone. Aside from a daily forecast Susan also lets you in on important upcoming dates (new moon in Aries 24 degrees tomorrow guys), stress busters based on your sign as well as vacation tips, gifts guides and even the type of car that would suit your personality. Need I say more?

*the dreamy psychedelic illustrations above are by Kime Buzzelli and were featured in the first issue of Chelsea Magazine. They currently reside on my bedroom walls and I love them to pieces.

This is Totally Real

And I am totally excited! That brut rose is too adorable for words; I don't care if it tastes like sparkling Pepto Bismol. Read more about the Hello Kitty wines here.

Dress You Up

In you haven't noticed there is now a weird cat gif on the right hand sidebar of this blog. I will be adding new outfits regularly and my goal is to make 100 cats. If you have any outfit suggestions please e-mail them to I want to focus primarily on iconic fashion, film, and music looks, although I am open to suggestions. If your outfit is selected I will send you a high resolution image of your cat. Thanks!

Obscure Hollow

Thanks internet! Without you and my propensity for insomnia I would have never discovered Obscure Hollow, a blog devoted entirely to gothic film interiors. These people seriously need a book deal.

Stills are from Satan's Blood, The Psychic, The Changeling, Pandora's Box, Lady in White, Vampire Circus, and Beauty & the Beast
