The Red Shoes

Stills from The Red Shoes, an iconic 1948 film about a ballerina that must choose between love and her dance career. Black Swan was heavily influenced by the imagery, if you haven't seen this you should really watch it right now!

Love this movie, even if I'm not too keen on the ending. It has some of the most gorgeous visuals. I wish movies were still done in Technicolor.

Love, love this movie!!
In fact I've talked about it some time ago in my blog, I remembered it with all this buzz about ballet ... it's so different and strong, and art direction is just beautiful.
